When you read this question… you may have thought of a person or of some people. What is it about being around that person or those people makes you so happy?
* Feeling comfortable makes me happy
* Doing new things that I might otherwise not do makes me happy
* When talking feels good, that makes me happy (also, when I learn new things about the world!)
This is my first time posting a two-part question! Here goes:
a) Who are you most happy around?
b) What is it about being around that person or those people makes you so happy?

Most happy? That question is too hard. I’ll go with people I’m really happy around!

* People who love what they do (regardless of whether it’s their job, childcare, or a hobby)
These are people who make me smile, who make me laugh, who make me feel at home, who make me feel good about humanity, who make me think, who make music.
Do we also get to answer the question about people who we *don’t* like to be around? (tee hee)
I haven’t thought about the Muppets song in years… warmed my heart today, thanks.

Who am I most happy around?
* Passionate, empowered, conscientious and inclusive people who like who they are!
* Who are constantly working toward something for themselves and people around them!
What is it about being around ’em that makes me so happy?
* I like seeing sparks ignite interest and flame into passion :-) Being around people who spark things, ideas, or insights just makes me feel great. I actually don’t know why…this is one of those rare times that I have decided I don’t need to question it, so I just follow it. That was a big breakthrough.
* I like the feeling of being with people who are really conscious of other people in a mellow, easy-going way. Supportive, conscientious, open-minded, rooting for you to be successful. They’re ready to accept you as you are, but will kick your ass if you know that you are asking for the help. I guess I am describing community and friendship.
BTW, I am really liking Question Fridays! It’s a great idea!

* My son
* Most of my coworkers
What is it about being around ’em that makes me so happy?
* My wife: because she gets me when most people don’t and I love her ;)
* My son: because everyday around him is an adventure. He’s always doing something new, something cute, something irritating, etc… but it’s always different. He also makes it very easy to forget anything else that might be on my mind at the time.
* Most of my coworkers: because they’re just like me, which is kinda scary sometimes.
This is my favorite post so far to read! You guys write such great things, Lila, Dave, Leslie, Chris! Just makes me feel good before the weekend to read all these.
