Why This Blog?

Filed under: All, On Blogging & Writing — Senia @ 2:26 pm

Hello! You’ve been reading my blog for a while. Why do you visit this blog? I am going to write down the reasons I think you visit this blog:

* You have a positive, fun outlook on life, and you’re interested in more of the same
* You are interested in Positive Psychology
* You’re a friend of mine from pre-blog times
* You’re into some of the topics I cover: stories? questions? quotes? getting to know yourself? self-help? personal development? intuition? success? improving your life?

I would love to hear more (and I’m NOT looking for “you’re great, Senia”… more about why the blog interests you). I am especially interested in hearing more since I want to implement a bit of structure onto the blog for the next month or two. I want to cover a couple of specific topics in depth – having to do with making choices, the new year, going after your goals.

Thank you very much!
Best,
S.

  1. Why do I visit? The content. The writing is clear, simple and gives me real insight into how to make a difference both in my life and the lives of others. Keep it going from a fellow blogger

  2. I visit because I’m only now learning to be an optimist and you inspire me :) I used to be pessimist…I used to be (in)famous for my pessimism among my friends. So I guess #2 on your list for me.

  4. Anna, Grim, Jen, thank you. I strongly thank you.

    Here’s what I’m hearing:

    * How this blog is written should focus on applications and implentation. GREAT, thank you guys for these suggestions! (”make a difference in both my life and the lives of others,” “learning how to be an optimist,” “implementing it in my life.”)

    * What this blog writes about should continue to be on positive psychology, optimism, and making us each think.

    Thank you guys. A lot.

  5. I first came to your site via a post on David Seah’s site. I was immediately intrigued by the content, and it’s kept me coming back over and over again.

As for particular features I’ve enjoyed… I would have to say that I love the collections of quotes you post. I’ve also enjoyed your articles on happiness, sleep, bad moods, etc. You also ask great questions. You engage your audience. That’s important for a site like this to grow and thrive.

    Keep up the great work!

  7. I came to this website because my name is Senia, too! A few months ago, I just wanted to see what, if anything, is at Senia.com, and found this great site. I’m going through a rough patch in my life, and reading the posts on this site has been uplifting and helpful. It’s just the kind of blog that I need to read these days, so it is so funny that it is written by someone who shares my name, rare as it is. Thanks a lot, Senia, for the great posts!!

  9. Your opinions are worth while paying attention to. I’m interested in psychology and read anything I can find concerning people, their relations and character.
