Yeah. Wow. I wish that we could opt in to or opt out of social security. I want my pre-tax dollars going to my personal retirement! When I was going to my financial planning classes, the way we learned to work with our clients was to ASSUME that social security would NOT be there when they retired, and make sure to plan with them so they had enough when they did retire. Interesting, huh?
