Why?

Why?

* Because it is the way of the world.
* Because you want to.
* Because that’s how the cycle of life goes.
* Because of you, because of me.
* Because.

* Because the little prince and charlie brown have a lot of the answers.
* Because every life is different.
* Because YOU ALREADY KNOW.
* Because nature is out there, and the wind blows through the tops of the trees.
* Because of the march of the penguins.

* Because only you know why you choose to climb the mountains you choose to climb.
* Because we seek bliss.
* Because it is an incredible feeling to be alive.

Today’s question: Why?

On Fridays, I post a question. I would love it if you feel like answering the question. :) Thanks. (I’m a big fan of privacy also, so if you don’t want to put your name in, just use an initial or just fill in the letter “A” and we’ll know it’s anonymous, and if you don’t want to put your email address for privacy reasons, just put mine – it’s at the link ‘email me’ above.)

  1. This is a really poetic answer… I think I’ll sit this round out, as I can’t think of anything to add.

    Oh, I thought of something… I was automatically reading it from a positive perspective and enjoying the soaring quality of the answer. But it’s interesting that you could also read it from a negative perspective too, if you lower your voice and stab at the words with your tongue through a slitted mouth. Which brings me to my contribution:

    Why?

    Because I’ve chosen to…

  2. That is not to say I’ve chosen to be negative, but that the choice is there, and it colors our perspectives in interesting ways :-)

  3. That’s a huge one in positive psychology, Dave. One major finding across the board is that people who are happier are those people that choose to be. Happy weekend to you, S.

  4. …for the possibility of laughter

    …for the chance to make a smile

    …because something deep inside says… yes!

    … to honor the gift of breath

    …for the taste of mangos in the morning :-)

    Hm… maybe not so much an answer but a state of mind :-)

  5. You took my answer, Lila!!

    I’ll give you the answer my mother would give me when I would ask her that most profound and annoying question:
    “Because I said so!”

    :)

  6. Lovely, pamela, just so lovely! I like most the “because something deep inside says… yes!” (my favorite word in english) and the “… to honor the gift of breath.” merci.

    Nick, wiseguy! :-P ;)
